Job summary

Nia Ev Motors Pune is looking for an experienced EV service technician to diagnose and repair electric scooter systems, including batteries and BMS, motors and controllers, and related electronics.

You will use meters and diagnostic software, perform pre-delivery inspections, conduct road tests, and maintain service records. Travel to dealer sites or customers for field work, and educate users on operation and charging.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of electric vehicle architecture and systems.
• Understanding of lithium-ion battery packs and BMS.
• Knowledge of BLDC/PMSM motors and motor controllers.
• Basic knowledge of CAN communication and EV diagnostic systems.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV scooter electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Perform servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance of electric scooters.
• Troubleshoot BLDC/PMSM motors, motor controllers, DC-DC converters, chargers, wiring harnesses, sensors, and displays.
• Diagnose and resolve battery-related issues, including BMS faults, charging problems, battery communication, and abnormal battery performance.
• Use diagnostic tools, mustimeters, scanners, and service software to identify faults.
• Handle customer complaints and provide technical solutions within defined turnaround time.
• Perform PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify vehicle performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, warranty claims, and spare-parts consumption.
• Support dealerships/service centers with technical troubleshooting and product training.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety procedures, and service guidelines.
• Educate customers and technicians on proper vehicle operation, charging, and maintenance.
• Travel to dealerships, customer locations, or field locations when required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge of electric vehicle architecture and systems.
• Understanding of lithium-ion battery packs and BMS.
• Knowledge of BLDC/PMSM motors and motor controllers.
• Basic knowledge of CAN communication and EV diagnostic systems.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of sensors, relays, fuses, connectors, DC-DC converters, chargers, and vehicle electronics.
• Hands-on experience with mustimeter, insulation tester, diagnostic scanner, and other electrical tools.
• Basic knowledge of working of EV vehicle, and able to understand the vehicle working
• Good troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Basic computer skills for service documentation and reporting.

*Preferred candidate profile

• ITI- Work shop Service technician .
• Experience in the EV segments for 3~4 Years, in the reputed dealership.
• Freshers with relevant EV training can also be considered for JE training .

Experience in EV two-wheelers, automobile service, automotive electronics .
