Job summary

Nia EV Motors Pune is seeking an experienced EV technician to diagnose and troubleshoot electric scooters' electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. You will perform servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdown tasks, focusing on BLDC/PMSM motors, motor controllers, batteries, BMS, and charging systems.

Travel to dealerships or customer sites, conduct PDI, road tests, and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV scooter electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Perform servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance.
• Troubleshoot motors, controllers, DC-DC, chargers, wiring, sensors, and displays.
• Diagnose and resolve battery/BMS faults and charging problems.
• Use diagnostic tools and service software to identify faults.
• Handle customer complaints and provide technical solutions.
• Perform PDI and ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify performance.
• Maintain service records, repair reports, warranty claims, and parts usage.
• Support dealerships with troubleshooting and product training.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Educate customers and technicians on operation and maintenance.
• Travel to dealerships or customer locations when required.

Role & responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV scooter electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Perform servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance of electric scooters.
• Troubleshoot BLDC/PMSM motors, motor controllers, DC-DC converters, chargers, wiring harnesses, sensors, and displays.
• Diagnose and resolve battery-related issues, including BMS faults, charging problems, battery communication, and abnormal battery performance.
• Use diagnostic tools, mustimeters, scanners, and service software to identify faults.
• Handle customer complaints and provide technical solutions within defined turnaround time.
• Perform PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify vehicle performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, warranty claims, and spare-parts consumption.
• Support dealerships/service centers with technical troubleshooting and product training.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety procedures, and service guidelines.
• Educate customers and technicians on proper vehicle operation, charging, and maintenance.
• Travel to dealerships, customer locations, or field locations when required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge of electric vehicle architecture and systems.
• Understanding of lithium-ion battery packs and BMS.
• Knowledge of BLDC/PMSM motors and motor controllers.
• Basic knowledge of CAN communication and EV diagnostic systems.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of sensors, relays, fuses, connectors, DC-DC converters, chargers, and vehicle electronics.
• Hands-on experience with mustimeter, insulation tester, diagnostic scanner, and other electrical tools.
• Basic knowledge of working of EV vehicle, and able to understand the vehicle working
