Job summary

The role requires 4–8 years’ experience with mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, and automation, plus willingness to travel for installations and service assignments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor line performance, support changeovers and process improvements.
• Train operators/technicians and prepare technical reports and spare parts lists.
• Ensure safety, SOP compliance, and quality standards.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Engineer to oversee machine installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support packing operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of packing machinery, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating installation projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Installation & Commissioning

• Install, assemble, and commission packing and production machinery at customer or plant sites.
• Conduct machine testing, calibration, and performance validation.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams during installation projects.
• Prepare installation reports and technical documentation.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packing machines and related equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
• Minimize machine downtime through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Maintain maintenance records and service logs.

Packing Operations Support

• Monitor packing line performance and efficiency.
• Ensure packing equipment operates according to production requirements and quality standards.
• Assist in process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
• Support production teams during machine setup and changeovers.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments during installation and maintenance activities.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality management systems.

Technical Coordination

• Train operators and technicians on machine operation and basic maintenance.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and spare parts requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in machine installation, maintenance, or packaging machinery.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, and automation equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and machine manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automatic packing, filling, labelling, or conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
• Willingness to travel for installation and service assignments.
