Job description

To ensure smooth, reliable, and safe operation of industrial machinery and plant processes — including primary, secondary, and auxiliary equipment — with a strong emphasis on field services, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The role demands a hands‑on professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to independently handle customer sites, optimize operations, and drive efficiency while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities, including installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial machinery and automation systems.
• Independently manage service assignments at customer sites, ensuring timely execution and customer satisfaction.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve equipment reliability and performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with a wide range of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, industrial controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Configure and troubleshoot measurement systems and instrumentation for process monitoring and optimization. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards in all operations.
• Handle industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet‑based systems.
• Read, understand, and modify high‑level programming (C/C++/C#) to support automation and integration requirements.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and customers to ensure service goals are achieved.
• Lead small service teams on projects, providing guidance, technical support, and mentoring.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational reports, and performance improvement records.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, documentation requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of proven experience in field services for industrial machinery.
• Strong exposure to installation and commissioning of machinery and automation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with different PLC platforms and industrial control systems.
• Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and measurement systems.
• Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet, Ethernet, etc.).
• Ability to understand and work with C/C++/C# programming for automation support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
