Job description

A Service Engineer installs, diagnoses, and repairs technical equipment or machinery, either in-house or on-site at customer locations. They conduct routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure optimal performance, primarily serving as the bridge between technical operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and overhauls to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Conduct diagnostic tests, identify root causes of failures, and perform necessary repairs or part replacements.
• Installation & Commissioning: Set up, configure, and commission new machinery or software systems at customer sites.
• Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting assistance, respond to service calls, and guide clients on proper operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service interventions, inventory of spare parts, and prepare technical reports for supervisors.
• Compliance: Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with local and industry safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related fields).
• Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities, proficiency with industry-specific diagnostic tools, and ability to read technical schematics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, strong communication and customer service skills, and ability to work independently.
