Job summary

KENT is seeking Service Engineers – ESS for PAN India to provide technical service and field support for hybrid inverters, home inverters, and battery energy storage systems. You will install, commission, test, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment at customer, dealer, and distributor sites.

The role requires a Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics, 1–2 years of field service experience, and willingness to travel across India.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics.
• 1–2 years of field service experience in inverters, UPS, battery systems or related products.
• Hands-on lithium-ion battery systems experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, diagnose and troubleshoot hybrid inverters and home inverters.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of battery and inverter systems.
• Travel to customer/dealer/distributor sites for installation and field support.
• Provide technical guidance to dealers/distributors on product installation and operation.
• Maintain service reports, fault logs, warranty records and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Support and Engineering to resolve issues and improve service quality.
• Collect and share product/service feedback for continuous improvement.

The role will involve installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support at customer, dealer, and distributor locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, test, diagnose, and troubleshoot hybrid inverters and home inverters.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of battery and inverter systems.
• Travel to customer/dealer/distributor sites for installation, service, and technical support.
• Provide technical guidance to dealers/distributors on product installation, operation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Maintain service reports, fault logs, warranty records, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Support, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve service quality.
• Collect and share product/service feedback with the relevant teams for continuous product improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in field service or after-sales support for inverters, UPS, battery systems, or related products.
• Hands‑on experience with lithium-ion battery systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for site visits and field support.
• Candidates should be flexible to work across different locations in India as per business requirements.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidates with hands‑on experience in inverter, UPS, ESS, battery, or power electronics service will be preferred.
