Job summary

Elite Foods is seeking a skilled Solar Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of solar power systems. The candidate will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of solar PV systems and provide timely technical support to customers.

The role involves inspecting components, diagnosing issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and traveling to customer sites to ensure safety and compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 24 years of experience in solar PV installation, service, or maintenance preferred.
• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and maintain solar PV systems.
• Inspect panels, inverters, cables, mounting structures and other components.
• Diagnose electrical and technical issues in solar systems.
• Attend customer service calls and provide timely technical solutions.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop and other solar installations.
• Monitor system performance and address issues affecting power generation.
• Perform inverter configuration, fault diagnosis, and basic troubleshooting.
• Check electrical connections, earthing, protection systems, and cable routing.
• Coordinate with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal teams for service activities.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance reports, and site inspection reports.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and company procedures.
• Travel to customer sites as required for installation and service activities.
• Maintain records of service calls, spare parts, repairs, and maintenance.

• Willingness to travel to project/customer sites.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
• Valid driving licence is preferred.
