Job summary

Solken Powergen Corp is seeking an experienced O&M professional in Panipat, India, to maintain rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems and monitor performance. The role involves diagnostics, repairs, and coordinating with vendors while ensuring safety on site.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/ITI in Electrical/Electronics and at least 2 years of hands-on solar O&M or site engineering experience, with travel willingness and strong reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in solar O&M or site engineering.
• Strong understanding of solar PV components and safety standards.
• Proficient with basic electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Familiarity with remote monitoring portals and solar analytics tools.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance at rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV installations.
• Monitor plant performance using SCADA/remote monitoring systems and onsite tools.
• Identify faults or performance drops and carry out timely repairs and replacements.
• Perform periodic inspections of electrical and mechanical systems, including inverters, modules, cabling, and structure.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for part replacements, escalations, and reporting.
• Maintain detailed service logs, inspection checklists, and site reports as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during all site activities.
• Train site staff or clients on routine O&M practices and system usage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in O&M processes to reduce downtime and increase plant efficiency.

• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in outdoor site conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Self-motivated and independent with a strong work ethic.
• Decent in Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word).
