Job summary

startuphr.consulting is seeking a Site Engineer & Supervisor to supervise field installation and service activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role involves coordinating technicians, installation teams, materials and client-site activities, visiting client sites regularly, and acting as the link between client, site team and internal project/service teams. This is a hands-on field role requiring regular client-site visits.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical/HVAC/Civil or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in installation, service, or field operations.
• Experience supervising technicians or field service teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Site Engineer & Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising field installation and service activities and ensuring that every project is executed safely, correctly and on time.

You will coordinate technicians, installation teams, materials and client‑site activities, monitor work progress, resolve execution issues and ensure that installations are completed as per approved scope and quality standards. You will act as the key link between the client, site team and internal project/service teams.

This is a hands‑on field role requiring regular visits to client sites and active supervision of installation and service work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and supervise day-to-day installation and service activities at client sites
• Allocate work to technicians and installation teams based on project requirements and timelines
• Ensure installations are completed within committed schedules and as per approved scope
• Visit sites regularly to monitor work progress, workmanship and installation quality
• Coordinate with clients, facility teams, contractors and other site stakeholders during execution
• Verify site readiness, access, power requirements, mounting locations, ducting and other installation requirements before work begins
• Coordinate availability and movement of equipment, tools, consumables and installation materials
• Ensure technicians follow approved installation methods, drawings, checklists and safety requirements
• Identify technical or site-level issues and coordinate with engineering/service teams for timely resolution
• Monitor preventive maintenance, breakdown service and complaint resolution activities
• Conduct installation checks, testing and commissioning before handover
• Maintain site reports, installation checklists, service reports and completion records
• Track pending site activities, punch points and ensure timely closure
• Coordinate with dispatch, stores, engineering, sales and accounts teams wherever required
• Support client handover and explain basic system operation and maintenance requirements
• Monitor team attendance, productivity, discipline and field performance
• Escalate delays, material shortages, technical issues and client concerns to the concerned manager
• Ensure proper handling, transportation and installation of company equipment
• Support AMC and recurring service activities to maintain customer satisfaction

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Civil or a related technical discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in installation, service, HVAC, air‑conditioning, ventilation, air purification, electrical works or related field operations
• Prior experience supervising technicians, installers or field service teams
• Good understanding of installation processes, tools, equipment and basic site practices
• Ability to understand basic drawings, layouts, measurements and installation requirements
• Strong ability to plan manpower, materials and site activities
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients and internal teams
• Ability to manage multiple sites and activities simultaneously
• Strong follow‑up and execution discipline
• Comfortable travelling to client sites across Delhi NCR
• Basic proficiency in mobile apps, spreadsheets, service reports and digital work trackers
• Safety‑conscious approach with attention to workmanship and quality
