Job summary

Retrack Automation is seeking a field-service professional to travel across India for installation and commissioning of fuel-management controllers, RFID readers, sensors and related automation devices.

You will support bowser and dispenser integration, perform wiring and testing, and verify end-to-end connectivity between devices, cloud platforms and mobile apps while ensuring safety and documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in engineering or technical specialization.
• Freshers or field-service candidates encouraged to apply.
• Must be willing to travel across India and work at industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across India for installation, commissioning and service activities.
• Install and configure fuel-management controllers, RFID readers, sensors and related automation devices.
• Support fuel bowser automation, pump automation and dispenser integration activities.
• Perform wiring, device connections, configuration and basic testing at customer sites.
• Verify communication between hardware devices, controllers, cloud platforms and mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, networking and connectivity-related issues.
• Identify hardware or software issues and coordinate with the relevant internal team for resolution.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and attend service calls.
• Test the complete system after installation and confirm that all functions are working correctly.
• Train customer operators and site teams on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
• Explain operating procedures, safety precautions and daily workflows to customers.
• Maintain proper installation records, service reports, photographs and customer sign-off documents.
• Provide regular site updates to the project coordinator and management.
• Coordinate with customers for site readiness, installation schedules and pending requirements.
• Handle customer queries professionally and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support product demonstrations, pilot installations and field trials when required.
• Ensure that company tools, devices and materials are handled safely and responsibly.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma in any engineering or technical specialization.
• BE/B.Tech in any specialization.
• BCA graduates may also apply.
• Freshers and candidates with relevant field-service experience can apply.
• Must be willing to travel frequently across India.
• Must be comfortable working at industrial sites, construction sites, mining locations, fuel stations, fleet yards and remote project locations.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, electronics, computers or networking is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical products and learn installation procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Hindi communication is mandatory.
• Knowledge of English and additional regional languages will be an advantage.
• Must be responsible, punctual, disciplined and willing to work independently at customer sites.
• Should be comfortable using mobile applications, web dashboards, email, WhatsApp and Microsoft Office.
• Candidates with a valid driving licence will be preferred.
