Job summary

bucketlistt.com is hiring a hands-on SEO lead to own strategy, execution and organic revenue across cities, starting from Dehradun. You will write, fix, ship and test pages yourself, not manage an agency, and collaborate with a lean AI-first team.

Day-to-day responsibilities include technical SEO with the dev team, on-page optimization, keyword research, content briefs for the writer, and building analytics dashboards to explain what moved traffic and revenue.

Qualifications

• Proven rankings you can show (a site/page/ccase study)
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience
• Strong on-page, off-page and technical fundamentals
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, Microsoft Clarity and WordPress
• Strong writing and editing, and comfort using AI tools with good judgment

Responsibilities

• Own SEO strategy, roadmap and organic revenue across cities, including traditional search and AI-enabled features
• Run technical SEO with the tech team: site architecture, schema, indexing, Core Web Vitals
• Perform keyword research, create content calendars and briefs for the writer
• Manage on-page SEO, internal linking, competitor & backlink analysis
• Build analytics dashboards and explain traffic movements and revenue drivers

Hey! We're hiring the person who will lead SEO and AEO at bucketlistt.com.

What we're building

bucketlistt.com is a curated marketplace for travel and adventure experiences, starting from Rishikesh and expanding city by city. Alongside it we run OkGhumo, the operating system adventure operators use to run their business. Think of what Zomato and Petpooja did for the food industry, or what BookMyShow did for movies, built ground up for adventure experiences in India.

Why SEO, why now

People don't discover experiences on an app. They search "river rafting in Rishikesh" or "things to do in Goa". Whoever owns those searches owns the category, and AI search is resetting the leaderboard right now. Organic will be our biggest growth channel, and you will build it from scratch.

• Founders: Shubham Makhecha, CEO (CA, AIR 36, ex-PwC, ex-Accenture), Nitant Desai, CFO/COO (CA, ex-PwC), and Divyam Shah, CTO (techie, ex-Prepseed)
• VC-backed: we have raised two rounds, close to $1 million in total
• Live in 3 cities, with more than Rs. 20 crores of bookings managed in the last 9 months by a very lean team

The team

A lean, AI-first team of two: you, plus one SEO Content Writer who reports to you.

What you'll do

• Own SEO strategy, roadmap and organic revenue across cities, covering traditional search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews)
• Run technical SEO with our tech team: site architecture, programmatic pages, schema, indexing, Core Web Vitals
• Keyword and intent research, content calendars and briefs for the writer
• On-page SEO, internal linking, competitor and backlink analysis
• Build your own analytics dashboards and explain what moved and why

Requirements

• Proven rankings you can show us (a site, a page, a case study) AND
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience
• Strong on-page, off-page and technical fundamentals
• Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, Microsoft Clarity and WordPress
• Strong writing and editing, and comfort using AI tools with strong judgment

These are not must-haves. Candidates who meet them will get a preference.

Location and terms

Dehradun, on-site, full time, 6 days a week (9 am to 6 pm, one weekday off). 2-month probation and 2-month notice period.
