Job summary

Bucketlistt in Dehradun is hiring the first and only accountant to own all accounting functions. You will manage daily entries, reconciliations, invoicing, payouts, and close books, with scope to build a finance function from scratch.

The role requires CA background or equivalent experience, proficiency in GST/TDS, and fluency in Hindi and English. On-site, full-time with growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting entries: bookings, refunds, expenses, operator payouts and bank reconciliations
• Own closure of financial accounts: monthly closes and final accounts at year end
• Handle invoicing, payables, receivables and everything else that comes under accounts
• Work with the founders on compliance, filings, audits and investor reporting
• Set up simple processes and reports so the founders always know the numbers

Hey! We're hiring the person who will own all of accounting at bucketlistt.com.

What we're building

bucketlistt.com is a curated marketplace for travel and adventure experiences, starting from Rishikesh and expanding city by city. Alongside it we run OkGhumo, the operating system adventure operators use to run their business. Think of what Zomato and Petpooja did for the food industry, or what BookMyShow did for movies, built ground up for adventure experiences in India.

Why this role, why now

There is no accounts team yet. You will be the first, which means you own everything: daily entries, payouts, reconciliations and closing the books. If you want to build a finance function from zero instead of inheriting someone else's, this is it.

Our gunpowder

• Founders: Shubham Makhecha, CEO (CA, AIR 36, ex-PwC, ex-Accenture), Nitant Desai, CFO/COO (CA, ex-PwC), and Divyam Shah, CTO (techie, ex-Prepseed)
• VC-backed: we have raised two rounds, close to $1 million in total
• Live in 3 cities, with more than Rs. 20 crores of bookings managed in the last 9 months by a very lean team

These are not must-haves. Candidates who meet them will get a preference.

Location and terms

Dehradun, on-site, full time, 6 days a week (9 am to 6 pm, one weekday off). 2-month probation and 2-month notice period.
