Job summary

Info Edge Limited is seeking a hands-on Senior Trainer to strengthen the product knowledge, sales capabilities, communication skills and overall performance of our Domestic Counselling team. The role focuses on making counsellors more effective at understanding student requirements, recommending suitable colleges and courses, handling objections, and converting leads into paid applications.

You will collaborate with Counselling Leadership, Team Managers, Quality and Operations to close

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or education counselling training.
• Strong facilitation and classroom training skills.
• Excellent English and Hindi verbal communication.
• Understanding of counselling calls, follow-ups and sales conversion.
• Experience designing training modules, role plays and coaching interventions.
• Proficient with CRM, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counselling skills and sales training to domestic counsellors.
• Lead soft skills and communication training programs.
• Provide product and admissions knowledge to staff.
• Coordinate new-hire induction and certification.
• Monitor call quality and drive performance improvement.
• Train on CRM usage and application processes.

Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Trainer to strengthen the product knowledge, sales capabilities, communication skills and overall performance of our Domestic Counselling team.

The role will focus on making counsellors more effective at understanding student requirements, recommending suitable colleges and courses, building student confidence, handling objections, maintaining productive follow-ups and converting interested students into paid applications.

The selected candidate will work closely with Counselling Leadership, Team Managers, Quality and Operations to identify performance gaps and address them through practical, outcome-driven training.

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant experience in sales training, soft skills training, inside-sales enablement, education counselling, training or admissions training.
• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation and classroom training skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to coach teams on communication effectiveness.
• Strong understanding of interpersonal communication, empathy, active listening, professional etiquette and student engagement.
• Practical understanding of counselling calls, objection handling, follow-ups and sales conversion.
• Experience designing training modules, assessments, role plays and coaching interventions.
• Comfort with CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint and performance reporting.
• Ability to work closely with business managers and coach counsellors individually.
• Strong ownership, adaptability and willingness to spend time on the counselling floor.

Preferred: Experience training domestic higher-education counsellors on MBA, UG/PG admissions, college selection and application processes.
