Job summary

Meditrina Hospitals Pvt Ltd in Kerala, India seeks a Senior Technician – Cath Lab to support cardiologists and the clinical team in delivering safe, high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiac services.

You will assist during catheterization, angioplasty, PCI and other advanced Cath Lab procedures, while ensuring equipment operation, infection-control, radiation-safety and patient safety protocols. You will also supervise junior staff and coordinate with teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Cath Lab experience required.
• BSc or Diploma in Cardiac Care Technology / Cardiovascular Technology required.
• Experience with advanced Cath Lab procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, PCI and other interventional procedures.
• Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Prepare patients, instruments, consumables, and equipment before procedures.
• Maintain infection-control, radiation-safety, and patient-safety protocols.
• Monitor and manage Cath Lab inventory and ensure availability of consumables.
• Handle emergency situations effectively during procedures.
• Maintain accurate procedure records and documentation.
• Guide and supervise junior Cath Lab technicians and support staff.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, and other departments for smooth workflow.

The Senior Technician – Cath Lab is responsible for supporting cardiologists and the clinical team in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality cardiac diagnostic and interventional services. The role involves assisting during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, PCI, and other advanced Cath Lab procedures, while ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of specialised equipment. The Senior Technician is also responsible for patient and procedure preparation, adherence to infection-control, radiation-safety, and patient-safety protocols, inventory management, accurate documentation, and effective handling of emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, PCI, and other interventional procedures.
