Job summary

Medanta Hospital, Lucknow is seeking a qualified professional to manage and supervise the Cath Lab’s day-to-day operations and lead a multidisciplinary team. The role requires coordinating with Cardiologists, Nursing, OT, Emergency and ICU, ensuring optimal equipment use and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Cath Lab.
• Lead, schedule, and coordinate Cath Lab staff.
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Nursing, OT, Emergency, ICU and other departments.
• Monitor staff deployment, rosters, attendance, performance and training.
• Ensure utilization of Cath Lab equipment and resources.
• Monitor inventory, procurement, and wastage control.
• Ensure maintenance and calibration of Cath Lab equipment with Biomedical and Engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, infection control protocols, and statutory requirements.
• Documentation, billing coordination, and MIS/reporting.
• Support the medical team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, especially during emergencies.
• Identify operational gaps and implement measures to improve efficiency and patient safety.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Cath Lab.
• Lead, schedule, and coordinate Cath Lab technicians, nurses, and support staff.
• Ensure smooth coordination with Cardiologists, Nursing, OT, Emergency, ICU, and other concerned departments.
• Monitor staff deployment, duty rosters, attendance, performance, and training requirements.
• Ensure availability and optimum utilization of Cath Lab equipment, consumables, and other resources.
• Monitor inventory, coordinate procurement requirements, and control wastage of consumables.
• Ensure proper maintenance, servicing, and calibration of Cath Lab equipment in coordination with Biomedical and Engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, infection control protocols, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor documentation, procedure records, billing coordination, and MIS/reporting.
• Support the medical team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, particularly during emergencies or as required.

• Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Cath Lab Technology or relevant Allied Healthcare discipline.
• Experience: Strong hands-on experience as a Cath Lab Technician, preferably with experience in team handling and departmental coordination.
• Should possess good leadership, communication, administrative, inventory management, and operational skills.
