Job summary

The Sr. Technician – Cardiology at Felix Group is responsible for providing technical and clinical support during cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.

You will operate and maintain cardiology equipment, assist cardiologists, prepare patients and rooms, ensure equipment readiness, maintain records, and follow infection-control protocols. Requires Diploma/Bachelor’s in Cardiac Care Technology with relevant Cath Lab exposure; role involves shift work, on-site duties in Noida, and

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Cardiac Care Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant professional certification or registration, wherever applicable.
• Additional Cath Lab training or interventional cardiology experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and clinical teams during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Prepare Cardiac Cath Lab and procedure rooms for procedures.
• Operate cardiology equipment per established protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with procedures such as ECG, TMT, Holter monitoring, echocardiography support, cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, angioplasty, and other procedures as applicable to the assigned unit.
• Prepare patients and equipment before procedures and provide technical assistance throughout the procedure.
• Ensure proper availability and functioning of catheters, guidewires, sheaths, contrast media, consumables, and other required materials.
• Assist in maintaining sterile conditions and follow infection-prevention and control practices.
• Monitor technical parameters and promptly report equipment or procedural abnormalities to the concerned clinician or supervisor.
• Handle, clean, and maintain cardiology equipment and accessories as per departmental protocols.
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing with the biomedical engineering team.
• Maintain adequate stock of cardiology consumables and inform the supervisor regarding shortages or expiry of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, equipment usage, consumables, and other departmental activities.
• Assist in maintaining emergency equipment, including defibrillators, crash carts, oxygen supply, and other essential equipment.
• Provide technical assistance during cardiac emergencies and support the clinical team as directed.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste and sharps according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in training and guiding junior technicians and newly appointed staff.
• Coordinate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, technicians, biomedical engineers, and other hospital departments.
• Participate in departmental audits, quality-improvement programs, equipment training, and competency assessments.
• Perform other duties assigned by the HOD or departmental management.

Job Summary

Experience

Relevant experience in a Cardiology Department, Cath Lab, Cardiac Care Unit, or cardiac diagnostic/interventional facility is preferred.

Experience assisting in coronary angiography, angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, or other interventional procedures is desirable.

Experience in handling and troubleshooting cardiology equipment will be an advantage.

Strong technical knowledge of cardiology and Cath Lab procedures.

Good understanding of cardiac diagnostic and interventional equipment.

Ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot technical equipment.

Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection-control practices.

Good understanding of patient-safety protocols.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
