Job summary

First Source Energy India seeks a Senior System Design Engineer to lead a small design team and oversee site surveys for potential solar projects. The role focuses on designing optimum solar plants and coordinating with BD to assess feasibility.

You will ensure data collection, prepare DPR BOM, liaise with structural and mechanical teams, present designs to clients, and monitor system performance.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in engineering is required.
• 4–10 years of experience in system design or solar projects.
• Experience with design documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2-3 junior designers and site surveyors.
• Ensure all data points are collected by site surveyors.
• Conduct site visits for potential project sites as needed.
• Coordinate with the BD team on feasibility and queries.
• Prepare DPR BOM for projects.
• Design optimum solar power plant as per load profile.
• Submit design documents to project execution team.
• Stay updated with new technology and products.
• Involve in procurement processes.
• Interact with structural consultants and mechanical team.
• Meet clients to explain solar system operation.
• Monitor installed system performance.
• Deliver reports for billing under OPEX models.

• Experience: 4 - 10 years

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 2-3 junior designers and site surveyor
• Ensuring all data points are collected by site surveyors
• Conducting site visits as and when required regarding potential project sites
• Coordinating with Business Development team and reverting to their queries regarding potential project sites and the feasibility associated with the same
• Preparation of Technical DPR BOM for Project
• Design of Optimum Solar power plant as per load profile of client/ project site
• Ensuring submission of all design documents to project execution team
• Staying up to date with new technology and products
• Being involved in the procurement process
• Interacting with structural consultants and mechanical team
• Client meetings to explain how Solar systems operate
• Monitoring installed system performance
• Delivering report to collection team on the units generated at a location so the collection team can generate a bill for the client for projects under OPEX Model
