Job description

Title: Senior Social Media Executive (Creator-first)

Team: Brand, Content & Social

Works with: Creative, CX, CRM & Retention, Agencies & Creators

Experience: 3+ years

About us

Supertails is a first-of-its-kind platform for India's pet parents — trustworthy veterinary care, training, and a one-stop shop for pet food and supplies. Online consults with our in-house vets, and doorstep delivery of an assortment sourced from India and across the globe.

Who we're looking for

An enthu-cutlet who's on the internet all day, and you get there before the trend needs explaining.

You make the content yourself. Ideate, shoot, edit, ship. You don't wait for a brief to come up with the next cool idea for the brand.

You know exactly what to reply under someone else's post. The comment that gets screenshotted and gets on the feed post carousels.

You know how to actually use a creator. Not pay one and hope. Pick the right person according to the objective, brief them so they still sound like themselves for the brand.

A planned go-getter who always knows what they want to post the coming two weeks.

Your mission, should you choose to accept
  • Make the thing yourself — ideate, shoot, edit, ship. Same week, often same day
  • Catch the trend on the way up, not on the way out
  • Live in the comments. Ours, and every other one worth being in
  • Write the reply that gets screenshotted
  • Match the creator to the objective, then brief them so they still sound like themselves
  • Always know what's going out for the next two weeks
  • Build our presence off real pet-parenting insight, not off what worked for a snack brand
  • Turn events into content, not just a good afternoon
  • Read the numbers every week and kill what doesn't work
  • Pull the story out of the vets, CX and ops teams and put it on social
  • Push agencies and partners to make things people actually share
  • Spot and avoid thnigs lyk thise
  • Be around pets a lot
What you'll own
1. Making the content.

You are the creator on this team, not the person who commissions one. Ideate, plan, shoot, edit, ship — phone-first and at trend speed. Nothing waits on an agency to go out today. The bigger brand pieces get made properly with the creative team, but the daily volume is yours.

2. Comments & community.

Every reply, DM, mention and tag on our handles — and the conversations about pet parenting where we aren't tagged at all. Fast, funny where it earns it, useful always. Medical questions go to the vet team, order issues to CX. Know what an escalation looks like before it becomes one.

3. Creators & influencer programme.

End to end: pick by objective, source, brief, negotiate, publish, measure. Get work out of creators that we couldn't have made ourselves, and keep it sounding like them. Build a roster you can call on, not a scramble every campaign.

4. The plan.

A calendar that exists at least two weeks out, across every channel, and gets executed. Insight-based and built for every kind of pet parent — first dog, third cat, senior pet, foster. Room left in it for the thing that has to go out in four hours.

5. Partners, agencies & vendors.

Brief, evaluate and push external creative partners. Evaluation, onboarding, and expense processes that come with them. Keep a clean log.

6. Measurement.

Track content and channel performance on listening and analytics tools, report it clearly, act on it. Reach, engagement and follower growth are the scoreboard; response time and sentiment are the ones nobody watches and should.

Requirements
  • A portfolio with work you’ve created yourself, not just managed.
  • At least 3 years across social media agencies or in-house at brands
  • Hands-on shooting and editing: framing, cuts, sound, captions, and a feel for when a thing is 12 seconds too long
  • Chronically online, with a real grip on trends and how each platform's algorithm actually works
  • Community and ORM experience at volume: replying fast, in voice, without creating a problem
  • Creator management you've actually done: sourcing, briefing, negotiating, measuring
  • Planning discipline. A calendar that exists ahead of time, not one reconstructed on Friday
  • Hands-on experience scaling social for a new or young brand
  • Judgement on creative for different audiences, with a keen eye for detail
  • Stakeholder management with creative partners and internal teams, coordinated with clear communication that aligns all
  • Strong analytical skills: data and reports on Excel and listening tools
  • An independent worker who needs minimal intervention on daily tasks
