Role Overview

The Senior ServiceNow Developer – ITAM, CMDB & Integrations is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that drive visibility, control, and automation across IT Asset Management and Configuration Management processes.

This role ensures the integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), supports governance and compliance through accurate asset data, and develops robust integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems (e.g., Coupa, SailPoint, SuccessFactors).

Required Expertise

• 7+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience with 3+ years specifically focused on ITAM and/or CMDB implementation
• CMDB Architecture: CI classes, relationships, dependency mapping, service modeling, and data reconciliation engines
• CSDM Framework: Version 4+ implementation including technical services, business applications, and infrastructure layers
• Discovery & Sensors: Service Mapping, Discovery patterns, pattern debugging, and custom probe creation
• Asset Management: HAM/SAM workflows, normalization, license compliance, and financial lifecycle management

Integration Mastery

• Extensive experience building enterprise integrations using:
• Integration Hub (spoke creation, custom actions, connection aliases, credentials)
• REST/SOAP web services (design, consumption, authentication strategies)
• MID Server configuration, clustering, and troubleshooting
• Transform Maps, Import Sets, and scheduled data imports
• Solid understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, API keys, certificate‑based auth)
• Experience with data transformation, error handling, and integration monitoring

Technical Proficiency

• Expert‑level JavaScript development skills with deep knowledge of ServiceNow Glide APIs
• Hands‑on experience with:
• Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and process automation
• Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies
• Client Scripts, GlideAjax, and asynchronous patterns
• ACLs, Security Rules, and role‑based access control
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting
• Understanding of JSON, XML, and data serialization formats
