Responsibilities

• Own and manage the ServiceNow CMDB ecosystem with data accuracy and compliance
• Lead CMDB governance initiatives including policies, audit controls, and best practices
• Design, implement, and maintain the CSDM framework
• Configure Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure accurate CI identification and relationships
• Drive CMDB health improvements including remediation of duplicates and incomplete items
• Define and monitor CMDB health metrics, dashboards, and reports
• Implement and manage integrations between CMDB and infra/cloud platforms
• Collaborate with infra, app, security, and operations teams on data accuracy
• Support ITSM and ITOM initiatives with robust CMDB data architectures
• Document CMDB processes, standards, and designs
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and present CMDB maturity recommendations
• Troubleshoot CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping issues and provide sustainable solutions

JOB Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow CMDB Administrator to lead and manage the organization's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) strategy, governance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery, and Service Mapping, with a strong focus on CMDB health, data quality, governance, and integrations across infrastructure and cloud platforms. This role will work closely with IT Operations, Service Management, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to ensure accurate and reliable configuration data that supports critical ITSM and ITOM processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the ServiceNow CMDB ecosystem, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Lead CMDB governance initiatives, including policies, procedures, audit controls, and best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.
• Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping solutions to ensure accurate CI identification and relationship mapping.
• Drive CMDB health improvement initiatives, including remediation of duplicate, stale, incomplete, or non-compliant Configuration Items (CIs).
• Define and monitor CMDB health metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Implement and manage integrations between CMDB and infrastructure/cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to ensure configuration data accuracy and completeness.
• Support ITSM and ITOM initiatives by providing robust CMDB data architectures and dependency mappings.
• Document CMDB processes, standards, operational procedures, and technical designs.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and provide recommendations on CMDB maturity improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 8-10 years of overall IT experience with strong ServiceNow administration expertise.
• Extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow CMDB Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB architecture.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Expertise in CMDB governance, lifecycle management, and operational best practices.
• Strong experience in CMDB health analysis, remediation, and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience integrating CMDB with on-premises infrastructure, cloud environments, monitoring tools, and third-party data sources.
• Understanding of Configuration Management processes aligned to ITIL practices.
• Experience developing dashboards, audits, and compliance reports related to CMDB health.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) implementations.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including servers, networks, databases, virtualization, and storage platforms.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow development concepts, integrations, APIs, and automation capabilities.

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience with cloud and infrastructure integrations.
• ITOM implementation experience will be a significant advantage.
