Job summary

Policybazaar is hiring an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Direct Channel Insurance business in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in field sales, team management, and business development, with the ability to drive regional sales performance and manage large multi-level teams.

You will lead and manage a large field sales team, recruit and mentor staff, ensure compliance, monitor targets, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of sales experience in Insurance/BFSI.
• Experience managing regional sales operations and multi-layer field teams.
• Direct Channel (Open Market) sales experience mandatory.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
• Knowledge of Bengali language is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional business growth and achieve sales targets for the Insurance business.
• Lead and manage a large field sales team comprising: Assistant Managers (AM), Team Leaders (TL), Field Sales Executives (FSE).
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and identify business opportunities.

• Experience in Direct Channel (Open Market) sales is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.
• Handled more than 300+ employees.
• Knowledge of the regional language (Bengali) is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.

Working Schedule

• 6 Days Working
• Saturday & Sunday are mandatory working days
• One rotational weekly off.
