Festo India in Chennai seeks a sales engineer to drive growth of pneumatic, electric, and process automation products by identifying new opportunities and managing key accounts. You will provide technical expertise and tailored solutions while collaborating with internal teams to meet revenue goals.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical/electrical/electronics degree with 5–10 years in automation sales and has experience with automotive, pharma, food and packaging segments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical or electronics engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in pneumatic, electric or process automation sales.
• Experience with automotive, pharma, food and packaging customers is a plus.

In this role you will drive sales growth of pneumatic, electric, and process automation products by identifying new opportunities, managing key accounts, and achieving revenue targets. You will be responsible to provide technical expertise and tailored solutions while executing sales strategies aligned with company goals and evolving market trends.

• Drive sales of automation products (Pneumatic, Electric & Process Automation) by identifying new opportunities, markets, and achieving revenue targets
• Manage key accounts by building strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact, and expanding business within existing customers
• Deliver technical and product expertise through tailored solutions, presentations, and close collaboration with technical teams
• Develop and execute account and sales strategies aligned with company goals, informed by market and competitor analysis
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, adapting to changing market and customer needs
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in pneumatic, electric or process automation sales.
• Handling or handled Automotive, Pharma, Food and Packaging customers/key accounts.
• Proven experience in key account management, End User & OEM sales, with strong ability to analyse customer needs and drive business growth.
• Strong communication skills, self-driven and adaptable, with proficiency in CRM tools and MSOffice.
