Job summary

Transasia Bio Medicals in Mumbai, India seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end purchasing of electronics and engineering components. You will identify vendors, float RFQs, negotiate terms and convert requirements into timely POs while coordinating with multiple internal teams.

The role emphasizes supplier evaluation, cost optimization, and ERP-based procurement with strong communication skills and ownership of procurement activities.

Qualifications

• 58 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.
• Experience in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in purchasing PCB boards, electronic/electrical boards, electronic components, electrical components and engineering materials.
• Candidates with experience in PCB procurement and electronic/electrical component sourcing will be strongly preferred.
• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor development, vendor management, RFQ, quotation comparison and price negotiation.
• Good understanding of Purchase Orders, procurement processes, inventory and material planning.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP and MS Excel.
• Experience working with OEMs, manufacturers and authorized suppliers is preferred.
• Experience in IVD, diagnostics, medical equipment or analyzer manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Should have good communication, negotiation, analytical and coordination skills.
• Should be capable of independently handling procurement activities and taking ownership of purchase requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, lead times and pending purchase orders.
• Develop alternate vendors and sources to ensure continuity of supply and cost optimization.
• Monitor vendor performance related to quality, price, delivery and service.
• Resolve procurement, quality, delivery and supplier-related issues.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, POs and procurement MIS.
• Use SAP/ERP systems for procurement and purchase-related activities.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Independently handle procurement activities and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
