Job summary

adesso India is seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong technology infrastructure delivery expertise to lead complex programs for enterprise clients in regulated industries. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience managing infrastructure modernization initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable industry regulations and standards.

You will manage end-to-end planning, budgets, and resource allocation while ensuring security and regulatory compliance, including PCI DSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 6+ years leading large-scale technology projects.
• Proficiency in project management tooling and O365.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks (PMO, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall).
• Experience developing and managing detailed project plans, RAID logs, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cloud and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring security, audit, and compliance.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations with precision.
• Drive day-to-day project execution including workshops, vendor coordination, and delivery tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cloud and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring adherence to security, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations with precision.
• Drive day-to-day project execution including workshops, engineering activities, vendor coordination, and delivery tracking.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budgets.

Regulatory & Compliance Expertise

• Ensure projects comply with applicable industry regulations, data security standards (e.g., PCI DSS), and other relevant compliance frameworks.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with cross‑functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, business units, and risk management, to align project objectives with business priorities.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads and core team members, to secure support and buy‑in for infrastructure projects.
• Regularly communicate project progress, roadblocks, and achievements to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Technical Leadership

• Provide direction to engineering teams on technical requirements, design constraints, and project scope boundaries.
• Review solutions, architecture documents, and change requests to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Risk, Quality & Resource Management

• Identify, track, and mitigate risks across technology, schedule, and regulatory domains.
• Ensure delivery quality through robust testing, documentation, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage internal and external resources to optimize utilization and performance.

Must-Have Skills

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience delivering technology refresh, modernization, and new platform implementations in the IT infrastructure landscape.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure domains: data center, network, servers, storage, virtualization, identity & access management, and cybersecurity alignment.
• Experience coordinating with architects and engineering teams.

Project Management

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6+ years leading large-scale technology projects.
• Proficiency in project management tooling and O365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong understanding of project governance frameworks (PMO, SDLC, Agile/Waterfall).
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed project plans or Agile scrum plans, RAID logs, governance decks, budget and resource plans, and stakeholder communication plans.

YOUR PROFILE

Good-to-Have Skills

• Direct exposure to banking or financial sector operations.
• Prior experience managing IT infrastructure transformations (cloud migrations, data center moves, network upgrades, security controls implementation, etc.).
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master, ITIL, or cloud certifications.

Experience & Education

• 10+ years' experience in IT, with 6+ years in Project Management.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Exposure to banking or financial industry environments preferred.
