Job summary

Simpliwork in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of commercial fit-out projects with a strong emphasis on MEP oversight and technical due diligence.

You will coordinate with consultants, architects, and vendors, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure adherence to project specifications at every construction stage.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience in workspace fit-out.
• Preferably from a Design & Build or coworking space background.
• B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough technical due diligence for assigned projects.
• Oversee MEP systems and liaise with local authority approvals.
• Review drawings and BOQs for accuracy and ownership.
• Develop milestones and procurement plans for projects.
• Ensure quality installation and adherence to approved makes/models.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and vendors.
• Provide constructability reviews and mitigation during pre-construction.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining performance standards.
• Maintain documentation, meeting minutes, and risk communication.

The candidate will coordinate with consultants, architects, and vendors while ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets. The role requires effective communication, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in construction management tools.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough technical due diligence for all assigned projects.
• Possess strong knowledge of MEP systems and local authority approval processes.
• Review all project drawings and BOQs, ensuring full ownership and accuracy.
• Develop and present comprehensive project milestones and procurement plans to the business team.
• Maintain high attention to detail and ensure quality installation at every construction stage, verifying adherence to approved makes and models with no deviations.
• Coordinate effectively with consultants, architects, and multiple vendors from project initiation through final client handover.
• Apply logical thinking, value engineering principles, and costoptimization strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide constructability reviews and propose mitigation measures during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining performance standards.
• Support various internal teams when needed to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including minutes of meetings, and communicate project risks along with mitigation plans.
• Utilize construction management tools and software effectively.
• Travel to and oversee projects in other cities when required.
