Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Project Manager to plan and execute finance and accounting projects within the FAO. You will collaborate with FAO leadership, GPO and HR across the organization, delivering programs on time and within budget in a hybrid work model.

You will define methodologies, manage resources, maintain RAID logs, and coach junior PMs. Requires PMP/PRINCE2/Agile, SAP knowledge, and 5 years of senior PM experience in large corporates.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Finance Operations and SAP.
• 5 years of project management experience in large corporate organizations.
• Experience in finance operations (P2P, O2C, R2R) is an asset.
• Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned projects and programs within the FAO pipeline, within timelines and budgets.
• Define and apply project methodologies; allocate resources and manage stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and improve project documentation (RAID logs, toolkit, SteerCo decks).
• Ensure effective project governance and risk mitigation with timely stakeholder updates.
• Coach and advise other Project Managers and Associate Project Managers.

This position reports to:

Global PMO Lead

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing projects and programs within the ABB Finance and Accounting Organization (FAO). You will work closely with FAO senior and mid-level management, FAO Service and Performance Practice teams (Q&CI, Automation and Performance Management), as well as cross-functional partners such as GPO organizations, IS, FPDS, HR, country finance organizations and other stakeholders.

The work model for the role is: #hybrid,

• Delivering assigned projects and programs within the FAO pipeline, ensuring completion of all tasks and milestones within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Defining and applying appropriate project methodologies; effectively allocating resources and tasks; motivating and managing direct and indirect stakeholders; monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to the Global PMO Lead and senior leadership.
• Developing, implementing and continuously improving project documentation, including RAID logs, project toolkits, SteerCo materials, reporting decks and lessons learned; managing project risks and proposing appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensuring effective project governance by identifying key stakeholders and defining meeting cadences; designing and implementing project change management and communicating relevant information to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner to secure alignment and support.
• Acting as a coach and trusted advisor to other Project Managers and Associate Project Managers.

Qualifications for the Role:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Finance Operations and SAP is required due to ongoing transformation initiatives and complex stakeholder management.
• 5 years of project management experience within large corporate organizations
• Experience in finance operations (P2P, O2C, R2R) as an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in MS Office/PMO tools and solid presentation skills are required;
• Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) required
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Fluency in spoken and written English, along with excellent communication skills.
