Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Manager for the Bangalore/Nelamangala region, India, to manage small, low-complexity projects onsite. You will lead the project team, ensure adherence to procedures, and apply scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks, coordinating with customers, engineering teams and vendors.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years in project management and strong SAP/MS Project experience, with cost control and cash flow oversight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using project management tools to plan and execute projects effectively.
• Experience delivering projects in a busy business environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team allocated to the project, motivating and monitoring resources.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks while pursuing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with ABB directives, procedures, cybersecurity regulations, contractual requirements, and HSE policies.
• Secure formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment.

This Position reports to: Operations Manager

This role is contributing to the Automation – Energy division in-Bangalore-Nelamangala region in India.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your skills by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks in advance.

Main Stakeholder include Customers, Engineering Team, Vendors.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading the project team allocated to the project, motivating and monitoring internal and external resources.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks while pursuing all opportunities.
• Ensuring compliance with ABB directives, procedures, cybersecurity regulations, contractual requirements, and HSE policies.
• Securing formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer.

Qualifications For The Role

• You have completed B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation.
• You have 5-10 years of experience in Project Management and Partner/Stakeholder Management.
• You are proficient in using MS Project and other project management tools to plan and execute projects effectively.
• You have experience in project planning, scheduling, and cash flow control, with experience delivering projects in a busy business environment.
• You possess effective communication, collaboration, and project leadership skills, with the ability to lead project teams and work across multiple stakeholders.
• You are highly proficient in SAP and can effectively use it to support project execution and business operations.
• You have experience in the Electrical, Power, and EPC industries & possess knowledge of Excitation Systems and their application in power projects.
