Job summary

ABB India Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive planning, scheduling, and cost control for low‑complexity delivery projects. You will monitor schedules, costs, cash flow, risks, and opportunities, applying basic scheduling techniques.

Based at ABB Bangalore – Peenya, you will oversee project execution, coordinate activities, ensure milestones are met, and manage contractual close‑out, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Full-time BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in project management.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Electrical and Automation industry.
• Experience in LV Switchboard / LV Switchgear projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in planning projects, carrying them out, managing schedules and costs, assessing risk, and working with stakeholders.
• Project Management certification such as PMP/PRINCE2.
• Base location: ABB Bangalore – Peenya, with willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts for all project phases of individual delivery for projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets including maintain & analyze actual and forecasted schedules, costs, revenues, cash in/out, as well as risks and opportunities. You will also showcase your skills by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule and risks in advance.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Building Business to be based at BANGALORE, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Oversee and supervise project execution by managing project schedules, costs, cash flow, risks, and overall performance in line with contractual and business requirements.
• Analyze project requirements, identify all essential activities, develop realistic schedules, and coordinate panel inspections and dispatch clearances.
• Monitoring project progress and critical path activities, ensuring milestones, inspection, and dispatch are completed as per the agreed revenue plan.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions and timely resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project acceptance and contractual close-out, ensuring customer acknowledgment, completion of contractual documentation, and formal closure of each project.

Qualifications For The Role

• Full-time B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in project management.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Electrical and Automation industry.
• Experience in LV Switchboard / LV Switchgear projects.
