• Support releases, post-release validation and production readiness.
• Maintain runbooks, logs and knowledge base documentation.

Job Summary

The Senior Application Support / Assistant Manager – Production Support is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications in a production environment. The role involves incident management, troubleshooting, stakeholder coordination, root cause analysis, release support, team supervision, and continuous improvement of support processes to meet agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production applications, interfaces, batch jobs, and scheduled processes to ensure smooth business operations.
• Manage, prioritize, and resolve incidents, service requests, and application issues within agreed service-level agreements.
• Perform initial analysis, troubleshooting, escalation, and follow-up for production defects and recurring issues.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, network, vendor, and business teams for timely issue resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support application deployments, release validation, post-release monitoring, and production readiness activities.
• Maintain and improve support documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles, issue logs, and standard operating procedures.
• Track support metrics, prepare status reports, conduct service reviews, and highlight risks or improvement areas to management.
• Guide and mentor junior support engineers, ensuring adherence to support processes and escalation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit requirements, security standards, and change management processes.
