Senior Production Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager with 812 years of relevant experience in the sweets/food manufacturing industry to lead and manage end-to-end production operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring quality, food safety, cost efficiency, productivity, and timely dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production operations for sweets and food products.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production as per business requirements and sales forecasts.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines and quality standards.
• Manage production manpower, shift planning, deployment, and productivity.
• Monitor production processes to minimize wastage, rework, and production losses.
• Ensure adherence to quality, hygiene, food safety, and GMP standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Sales teams for smooth production operations.
• Monitor raw material availability and consumption to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Implement process improvements to improve productivity and reduce production costs.
• Monitor and control production KPIs such as yield, wastage, efficiency, downtime, and output.
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of production machinery and equipment in coordination with the maintenance team.
• Maintain production reports, MIS, batch records, and other required documentation.
• Identify operational issues and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and food safety standards.
• Lead and develop the production team through training, performance monitoring, and effective supervision.

Candidate Profile

• 812 years of experience in Production/Manufacturing.
• Must have relevant experience in the Sweets / Mithai / Food Manufacturing industry.
• Experience in large-scale sweet production will be highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, wastage control, and process improvement.
• Good understanding of GMP, food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Location: Bangalore or candidates willing to relocate to Bangalore.
