Job summary

Tracks & Towers is seeking an experienced OHE/PSI Procurement Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement for railway electrification projects in Hyderabad.

You will source materials per BOQ and drawings, float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Stores and Accounts to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Strong vendor management and MS Excel skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Procurement experience in OHE/PSI for railway projects.
• Experience in vendor development and management.
• Ability to prepare RFQs/RFPs and perform evaluations.
• Strong negotiation and PO management skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and procurement MIS.
• Knowledge of BOQ, drawings, and specs.

About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced OHE / PSI Procurement Engineer with hands-on experience in procurement of materials and equipment for Railway OHE (Overhead Electrification) and PSI (Power Supply & Electrical) projects.


• The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, purchase orders and timely delivery of OHE/PSI materials as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement of OHE and PSI materials for railway electrification projects.


• Source materials as per BOQ, drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.


• Prepare and float RFQs/RFPs to approved and potential vendors.


• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for OHE/PSI materials.


• Obtain and compare technical and commercial quotations.


• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with vendors.


• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with vendors for timely supply.


• Follow up on material manufacturing, inspection, dispatch and delivery to project sites.


• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Stores and Accounts teams.


• Ensure procurement is aligned with project schedules and material requirement plans.


• Maintain procurement trackers, vendor databases, comparative statements and MIS reports.


• Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspection, testing and approval wherever required.


• Resolve material shortages, quality issues, delays and vendor-related concerns.


• Monitor market rates and identify cost‑saving opportunities.


• Ensure procurement is carried out in accordance with company policies and project specifications.
