Job summary

Adeco Energy India is seeking a Purchase Manager for Electrical Transmission & Facility Services. You will handle end-to-end procurement for HV/EHV transmission, EPC projects and integrated facility management, aligning with project budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities include vendor development, RFQ evaluations, negotiations and ensuring timely availability of materials at sites. 5–8 years in relevant procurement with HV/EHV experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain.
• 5-8 years of procurement experience in HV/EHV transmission, substations or EPC projects.
• Experience with major electrical equipment procurement and subcontracting.

Position: Purchase Manager- Electrical Transmission & Facility Services
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Industry: High Voltage Transmission, Substation/EPC & Integrated Facility Management Services
Reports To: General Manager Project

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of electrical project-related materials and services for high-voltage transmission, EPC projects & integrated facility management. The role involves vendor development, commercial evaluation, negotiation, purchase order management, expediting, cost control and ensuring timely availability of materials at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical & Transmission & Facility Service Material Procurement Planning
• Develop procurement plans based on project BOQ, approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct supplier capability and commercial assessments.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other commercial conditions.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply-related issues.
• Negotiate and finalize commercially competitive offers.
• Ensure PO terms accurately reflect project requirements.
• Monitor order acknowledgements and contractual commitments.
• Track delivery dates, quantities, specifications and documentation.
• Control procurement costs against approved project budgets.
• Monitor material price fluctuations and market trends.
• Maintain proper records of commitments, advances and pending payments.
• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV transmission and substation materials
• Good understanding of EPC procurement processes
• Knowledge of BOQ, RFQ, technical specifications and purchase contracts
• Good understanding of quality and inspection requirements
• Excellent coordination and communication skills

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain

Preferred:

• MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
• Certification in procurement/supply-chain management is an advantage.

Experience:
5- 8 years of procurement experience, preferably with HV/EHV transmission, substations, power infrastructure or EPC companies and facility services.
Experience should include procurement of major electrical equipment, transmission-line materials, project materials and subcontracting/services.
