Job summary

Tracks & Towers is seeking an experienced OHE Procurement Engineer for our Head Office in Hyderabad. The role involves end-to-end procurement coordination for OHE and Railway EPC packages, vendor management, tender estimation, and timely material supply for traction power projects.

You will analyse BOQs, prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and coordinate with engineering, planning, QA/QC and site teams to ensure compliant delivery and cost effective procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience in BOQ analysis, RFQ, tender estimation and rate analysis.
• Strong knowledge of OHE procurement and Railway EPC projects.
• Understanding of OHE, traction power and PSI systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement activities for OHE and Railway EPC packages.
• Procure OHE materials including contact wire, catenary wire, droppers, OHE fittings, section insulators, cantilever assemblies, masts, portals, gantries, registration assemblies, switches and associated hardware.
• Coordinate procurement of traction power / PSI equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs/PTs/CVTs, lightning arresters, protection & control panels, SCADA, battery chargers and auxiliary transformers.
• Prepare and float RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Analyse BOQs, technical specifications, drawings and project requirements to identify procurement scope and requirements.
• Conduct material-wise rate analysis using vendor quotations, market rates and historical procurement data.
• Support tender costing and estimation for OHE, PSI, traction power and associated electrical items.
• Identify and develop suitable vendors, negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OHE Procurement Engineer with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Railway EPC / OHE / Traction Power projects. The candidate will be responsible for procurement coordination, vendor management, tender estimation, commercial evaluation and timely procurement of OHE and associated electrical materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Expedite long-lead and critical materials to ensure timely project execution.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Project, QA/QC and Site Execution teams for procurement requirements.
• Support tender-to-procurement handover by reviewing BOQ, specifications, vendor budgetary rates, exclusions and delivery assumptions.
• Prepare procurement MIS and management reports covering cost, delivery status, vendor performance and procurement risks.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of OHE procurement and Railway EPC projects.
• Understanding of OHE, traction power and PSI systems.
• Experience in BOQ analysis, RFQ, tender estimation and rate analysis.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings and commercial terms.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Strong coordination, communication and analytical skills.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B.Tech Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Industry Experience

Railway EPC | OHE | Railway Electrification | Traction Power | PSI | TSS | SP/SSP | Electrical Infrastructure
