Job summary

RSK IEC in Gurugram is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will guide a team, deliver from concept through detailed design, and collaborate with multidisciplinary designers to ensure compliant, sustainable outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, oversee technical documentation, and drive innovation with digital design tools while maintaining safety and environmental standards across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Chartered status or actively working towards it.
• Experience in process design for water/wastewater projects.
• Experience in capital delivery programmes.

The RSK Group is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy and have a unique opportunity for Senior Process Engineer with experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems.

We are expending our New Engineering Centre in Gurugram and are looking for Senior Process Engineer to work on a range of technically challenging projects to deliver engineering solutions ranging from concept design through to detailed design for construction.

We’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Gurugram team, playing a key leadership role in delivering sustainable, innovative water infrastructure engineering.

Your Purpose

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of process design on major water infrastructure projects. You will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions are provided across the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, guiding a team committed to engineering excellence and environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate process engineering activities across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects
• Ensure all process design outputs (mass balances, hydraulic profiles, P&IDs, process flow diagrams) meet technical, quality, and safety standards
• Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to support efficient project delivery
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, promoting professional development and high standards of engineering practice
• Ensure process designs comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards, including DSEAR requirements
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement, with a focus on digital design tools and data-driven solutions
• Support engagement with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure successful design integration and project outcomes
• Champion sustainability, embedding carbon reduction and natural capital enhancement into every design decision

About You

We’re seeking a seasoned and proactive engineering leader who can bring experience, innovation, and a collaborative mindset.

You will bring

• A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Chartered status or actively working towards it
• Significant experience in process design within the water or wastewater sector, ideally within capital delivery programmes
• A sound understanding of process engineering principles, relevant standards, and regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to mentor and develop engineering teams
• Previous experience in a Design & Build environment is advantageous
• A solid grasp of health, safety, and environmental management within water infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills
• A passion for sustainability, with a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of engineering solutions
