Job summary

RSK is expanding its New Engineering Centre in Gurugram and seeks Senior Civil Engineers to design water and wastewater systems from concept to detailed design. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with work from office in Gurugram.

You will work with project teams, prepare GA drawings, pipelines and supporting calculations, and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
• Ability to design clean water and wastewater systems and prepare GA drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil deliverables including GA drawings, pipelines, sections and details.
• Check engineering outputs and ensure design quality and compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and design delivery programme.
• Support site teams with technical guidance and bid reviews.
• Manage assigned budget, schedule and quality requirements.

Job description

The RSK Group is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy and have a unique opportunity for Civil Engineers with experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems.

We are expending our New Engineering Centre in Gurugram and are looking for Senior Civil Engineers to work on a range of technically challenging projects to deliver engineering solutions ranging from concept design through to detailed design for construction.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week. Work from Office.

Responsibilities Include:

• Working closely with project teams, other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, estimating, supply chain, site and commissioning teams, CAD, Joint Venture partners and Clients.
• Development of clear and concise civil engineering deliverables appropriate for the intended audience including general arrangement drawings, pipeline plans, sections and details, supporting calculations, material selection, enquiry documentation, specifications, schedules and reports.
• Responsible for Checking of engineering outputs.
• Compliance with in-house procedural & quality systems.
• Coordinating the development of key multidiscipline deliverables such as P&IDs, Basis of Design documentation, design delivery programme.
• Co-ordinating design interfaces with other disciplines and integration of the civil design elements into the overall design.
• Undertaking technical bid assessments, subcontractor design reviews and providing technical support to site teams.
• Providing guidance and direction to others from the same project and discipline.
• Managing your assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Candidate Specification:

The role is suitable for technically strong, commercially aware candidates with a background in Civil Engineering in the water industry or other closely related industries.

You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in your home country or the country in which you are practicing.
• Typically, have a minimum of 10 years related work experience.
• A good working knowledge of clean water and/or wastewater engineering design including pumped and gravity hydraulic design, plant layout, awareness of other discipline needs, ability to work on the development of civil engineering aspects of the design in a 3D model environment and the preparation of General Arrangements and layouts.
• Assist in identification of change and contribute to risk management.
• Awareness of common standards and practices including CESWI and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, typical procurement processes and document control.
• Must be enthusiastic, adaptable and be driven to provide efficient engineering solutions.
• Be self-motivated and able to work with within a multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering outputs to time and budget.
• Be able to recognise and communicate change and consequences.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with a high level of computer literacy.
