Position

Lead Engineer – Process, Water (Water & Wastewater Treatment)

Overview

You will join our Water department and be part of a team responsible for designing water and wastewater treatment plants and for reviewing drawings prepared by CAD technicians and modelers. The role requires strong knowledge of water treatment principles and the ability to coordinate design activities with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Department Lead, Team Lead, Project Manager, Assistant Engineer, Technical Manager, and Senior Principal Engineer.
• Deliver scheduled tasks in Process and Hydraulic Design and 3D Model / 2D Drawings.
• Apply design codes such as German ATV Standards, DIN, and other international standards.
• Design Advanced Water Treatment/Desalination processes (MF, UF, RO, Mixed Bed Polishing, ZLD).
• Prepare Flow and Mass Balance, Process Design and Equipment Sizing, Hydraulic Calculations, Flow Diagrams, Plant Layout, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Estimate Bill of Quantities and Costing.
• Apply principles of water and wastewater treatment design in Indian and international contexts, including WTP, WWTP/CETP, and Pump Station design.

Qualifications

• BE/B. Tech in Civil/Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute. ME/M. Tech in Environmental Engineering desirable.
• 12 to 15 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plant process design.
• Strong understanding of conventional and advanced wastewater treatment technologies (ASP, CASP, MLE, A20, SBR, MBR, MBBR/IFAS).
• Knowledge of advanced water treatment technologies such as Ozone, BACT, Gravity Filter.
• Familiarity with mechanical general arrangement drawings of WTP, WWTP, and Pump Stations.
• Proficiency in design/drawing software (AutoCAD 2D, MS Excel) and experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D is desirable.
• Self‑discipline, strong work ethics, and excellent teamwork skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
