Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Chennai is seeking a Senior PLC Programmer with hands-on PLC, HMI, and SCADA experience and a track record in installation and commissioning. The role involves managing projects from design through site commissioning across major automation platforms.

The ideal candidate will relocate to Chennai and travel to customer sites as project needs dictate, handling FAT/SAT, I/O checks, and smooth handovers with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation.
• Hands-on expertise in PLC Programming, HMI Designing, SCADA Designing, and Site Installation & Commissioning.
• Solid understanding of electrical circuits and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic for industrial automation systems.
• Design and configure HMI screens; develop and maintain SCADA systems for machine and process control.
• Program and integrate Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams; support panel installation and wiring verification.
• Perform installation, commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, and site handovers at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and production support.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and site support as required.
• Coordinate with project, electrical, and service teams for successful execution.

Job Summary

A leading industrial automation solution provider is seeking an experienced Senior PLC Programmer with expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, as well as hands‑on experience in installation and commissioning. The candidate will manage projects from design through site commissioning across major automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic for industrial automation systems.
• Design and configure HMI screens and develop/maintain SCADA systems for machine/process control and monitoring.
• Program and integrate automation platforms, specifically:
• Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & SCADA (Mandatory / High Priority)
