Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Operations Manager to join our team at PCCS LOGISTICS PVT LTD. This pivotal role will involve overseeing and optimizing our entire operations process, ensuring the effective, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of logistics services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics, a knack for managing large-scale teams, and a passion for process improvement.

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading and developing a team of operational staff, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple functions in the company. You will work closely with senior leadership to meet strategic goals and ensure a seamless supply chain and logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight:
  Manage all logistics and supply chain operations to ensure that deliveries are timely, cost-effective, and meet customer satisfaction standards.
• Team Leadership & Development:
  Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations managers, supervisors, and staff. Provide guidance, training, and performance management to drive team efficiency and professional growth.
• Process Optimization:
  Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Analyze operational data and trends to forecast needs and optimize workflows.
• Inventory Management:
  Oversee the management of inventory, ensuring the proper storage, handling, and tracking of goods to maintain stock accuracy.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  Ensure all logistics operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality service standards.
• Client Relationship Management:
  Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and work proactively to resolve any client concerns.
• Budget & Financial Management:
  Develop and manage operational budgets. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where necessary to optimize profitability.
• Performance Metrics & Reporting:
  Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, employee productivity, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports to senior management regarding performance metrics.
• Risk Management:
  Identify potential risks in operations and develop strategies to mitigate them. Respond to emergency situations and unexpected disruptions to ensure continuity of service.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, customer service, finance, and warehouse management to ensure smooth coordination across the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
• Proven experience in managing large teams and driving performance through coaching and leadership.
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance within the logistics and transportation industry (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
• Mandatory hands-on experience in Air Freight/Air Cargo operations, in addition to surface logistics.
• Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications are a plus.
