Experience with multiple switching platforms (Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Extreme) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise LAN and Wi‑Fi environments.
Troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, LLDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP/MAC, ACLs, QoS.
Investigate packet loss, interface errors, network loops, broadcast storms, performance issues.
Troubleshoot enterprise Wi‑Fi client connectivity, authentication, DHCP, DNS, roaming, throughput, latency, intermittent connectivity.
Analyze RSSI, SNR, noise, channel utilization, retries, and AP/client capacity.
Onboard and provision Juniper Mist APs; configure WLANs/SSIDs, VLAN mapping, RF profiles; troubleshoot Mist issues.
Own incident/problem/change management; lead technical troubleshooting calls; coordinate with customers, NOC, ISPs, field engineers.
Prepare and execute MOPs, implementation plans, and rollback procedures; implement production network changes.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Operations Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in supporting and troubleshooting Enterprise LAN and Wi‑Fi environments.

The candidate will be responsible for L2/L3 operational support, handling complex incidents, implementing approved network changes, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and ensuring high availability and performance of customer networks.

Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco or Juniper Mist Wi‑Fi is highly preferred. Experience with switching platforms such as Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, or Extreme will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently own an issue from incident identification through troubleshooting, resolution, validation, RCA, and preventive action.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise LAN & Wi‑Fi Operations

Provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise LAN and Wi‑Fi environments.
Troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, LLDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP/MAC issues, ACLs, and QoS.
Troubleshoot switch, interface, uplink, routing, and end‑to‑end connectivity issues.
Investigate packet loss, interface errors, network loops, broadcast storms, and performance issues.
Troubleshoot enterprise Wi‑Fi client connectivity, authentication, DHCP, DNS, roaming, throughput, latency, and intermittent connectivity.
Analyze RSSI, SNR, noise, channel utilization, retries, and AP/client capacity.
Troubleshoot 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz wireless environments.
Support WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and EAP authentication.
Troubleshoot roaming and client mobility, including 802.11k/r/v.
Perform packet capture and traffic analysis where required.
Integrate network devices with monitoring tools and ensure appropriate KPIs are configured and monitored.

Juniper Mist Operations

Onboard and provision Juniper Mist APs.
Configure WLANs/SSIDs, VLAN mapping, and RF profiles.
Troubleshoot AP and client connectivity.
Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, and RADIUS issues using Mist.
Use Marvis and Mist client timelines/events for troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.
Monitor and interpret Mist SLEs.
Manage configuration templates and multi‑site environments.
Perform AP firmware upgrades, replacement, and RMA activities.
Support integration of Mist APs with LAN switching infrastructure.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

Own and troubleshoot P1/P2/P3 incidents within defined SLA.
Lead or participate in technical troubleshooting calls and major incident bridges.
Coordinate with customers, NOC, Service Desk, OEM TAC, ISPs, and field engineers.
Provide clear technical updates and drive incidents through resolution.
Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring incidents.
Identify trends and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Review HLD/LLD and identify implementation dependencies and risks.
Prepare and execute MOPs, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.
Implement approved production network changes and perform pre/post‑change validation.
Support network migrations, AP/switch replacement, firmware upgrades, and configuration changes.
Maintain operational documentation, network diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
