Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Kolkata seeks a Wireless Network SRE/Network Operations professional to manage and optimize enterprise WLAN and related infrastructure.

You will work with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to ensure production readiness, design RF solutions, and automate routine tasks to boost reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with wireless technologies (802.11ac/ax, Mist, Juniper).
• Deep understanding of RF design, interference mitigation, and WLAN security (Radius, EAP, 802.1X).
• Solid networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, Routing & Switching.
• Proven skills in automation and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Netbox, Netdisco).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to support and validate production readiness of new network implementations.
• Design, implement, and optimize WLAN using technologies such as 802.11ac/802.11ax and Mist Wireless Controllers.
• Monitor network performance, analyze issues, and drive improvements using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Netbox.
• Automate routine operational tasks through scripting (Python, Bash, Perl) to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Conduct RF design reviews, spectrum analysis, and wireless site surveys to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless and network issues (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, IPv6, VPN, Routing & Switching).
• Work closely with SMEs and cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and deliver proactive network health improvements.
