Job summary

R. N. Gupta & Company Limited is seeking a proactive Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and uptime of forge shop machinery, including hydraulic and mechanical presses and forging hammers.

You will plan preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnose mechanical failures, and perform RCA to implement long-term CAPA actions, ensuring high reliability under demanding heat and shock conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of forging presses and hammers.
• Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S practices.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and continuous uptime of our forge shop machinery. You will manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across heavy hydraulic presses, mechanical presses, forging hammers and plant utilities operating under high heat and heavy shock loads.

Preferred candidate profile

• Rapidly diagnose and repair mechanical failures on forging presses (mechanical/hydraulic), hammers, trimming presses etc.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive/predictive maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize machine uptime.
• Perform RCA on major machine failures to implement long-term corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Proficient in reading hydraulic & pneumatic circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S implementation.
