Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager for the press shop to drive reliability and digitalization of maintenance activities.

You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, develop SOPs, implement IoT-based monitoring, and align with MES/SAP PM modules to improve MTBF, reduce MTTR, and control costs while ensuring safe operations. Qualifications

• Must have Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with press shop equipment preferred.
• Experience in maintenance planning and cost control advantageous.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press machines (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems).
• Develop and implement maintenance SOPs and checklists.

Equipment Reliability & Improvement

• Analyse breakdown data and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) to enhance machine reliability.
• Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR.

Digitalization & Smart Maintenance

• Implement IoT-based monitoring systems for press parameters (tonnage, vibration, lubrication, temperature).
• Use data analytics for predictive maintenance.
• Integrate maintenance systems with MES / SAP PM modules.

Team Management

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Plan training programs for new technologies and safety.
• Ensure proper manpower planning and shift management.

Spare Parts & Cost Control

• Manage critical spare parts inventory.
• Optimize maintenance cost without compromising reliability.
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC and technical support.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
• Promote zero-accident culture in the press shop.

New Equipment & Projects

• Support installation and commissioning of new press lines.
• Participate in equipment selection, FAT/SAT, and trials.
• Develop maintenance strategy for new technology.

Functional/Technical Requirements

• Deep knowledge of press shop equipment and layout.
• Hands‑on experience with Tandem Press, blanking line, EOT crane, scrap conveyor, etc.
• Proficiency in breakdown analysis and digital maintenance systems (SAP PM, Infor, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, Mitsubishi PLCs, Servo drives, VFD friction drives system, conveyors.
• Familiarity with Digitalization, Predictive Maintenance techniques, 5S, and Lean Maintenance.
• Experience with robots (Yaskawa, etc.) and vision systems is a plus.
• Good communication and shift coordination ability.
