Job summary

K.HRISHIKESH is seeking a senior Tooling & NPD leader to drive development, validation and ramp-up of toolings and moulds. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage tool trials, maintenance and project execution to ensure quality, uptime and on-time delivery.

You will oversee APQP/PPAP/PSW documentation, coordinate tool transfer and pilot runs, monitor costs and drive continuous improvement in tool life, cycle time and productivity while complying with IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Lead and manage the Tooling & NPD team, including tool development, tool design, maintenance and project execution.
• Manage new mould development, tool trials, validation, repair and preventive maintenance to ensure tool quality, uptime and timely delivery.
• Strongly focus on reducing tool breakdowns, MTTR and repeat breakdowns through effective preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Lead NPD projects from tool development to production, including project planning, costing, trial, validation and ramp-up.
• Manage APQP, PPAP, PSW and project documentation and ensure timely submission as per customer requirements.
• Coordinate tool transfer, pre-builds, pilot runs and production ramp-up with Project, Production, Quality and other functions.
• Monitor tool development cost, project cost and profitability, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements and internal quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in Tool Room, tool life, cycle time, productivity and manufacturing process.
