Job summary

SV Management Consultants is seeking an experienced automotive NPD engineer with deep welding cell expertise to lead end-to-end project execution from concept to handover. The role involves RFQ/CSOR packaging, CAPEX planning, and strong coordination with customers and cross-functional teams.

You will drive VAVE initiatives, optimize cycle times, and ensure safety standards on the shop floor, while managing tooling readiness and PPAP validation to enable seamless transition to serial production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years hands-on experience in automotive NPD environments with strong expertise in welding cells and tooling projects.
• Proven track record leading PPAP submissions, customer interface, and Capex budgeting.
• Working proficiency in SAP HANA and 3D modeling/design suites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPD milestones, tracking timeline compliance from design concept to plant handover.
• Prepare RFQ/SOR packages, Cost-Benefit Analyses (CBA), and project CAPEX for weld cell installations; secure executive approvals.
• Supervise daily shop-floor welding project execution, tooling readiness, and technical manpower allocation.
• Oversee tool/line buy-offs, lead PPAP validation, and ensure seamless handover to serial production operations team.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer reviews, design changes, and cross-functional team coordination.
• Drive VAVE initiatives to optimize cycle times and manufacturing costs while maintaining plant safety standards.

• Buy-Off & PPAP: Oversee tool/line buy-offs, lead PPAP validation, and ensure seamless handover to the serial production operations team.
• Client & CFT Alignment: Serve as the technical point of contact for customer reviews, design changes, and cross-functional team coordination.
• Value Engineering & Safety: Drive VAVE initiatives to optimize cycle times and manufacturing costs while maintaining plant safety standards.
