Shavish Group is seeking an Engineering Manager NPD & ME to lead crossfunctional engineering resources focused on new product development and manufacturing engineering, with stamping, die casting, stamp parts, and product design expertise.
The role drives APQP/Pro04, oversees tooling and capital development, ensures PPAP qualification, develops manufacturing readiness, and deploys Industry 4.0 practices to deliver projects on time, at cost, and to the required quality.
The Engineering Manager NPD & ME is responsible for leading and developing crossfunctional engineering resources focused on new product development and manufacturing engineering strong experience in Stamping , Die Casting ,Stamp Parts, Product Design. The role ensures that all new products are introduced successfully into manufacturing environments, meeting requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and longterm producibility, as well as, driving improvements in processing capability, new technologies and justifying capital investments.
This position leads the execution of global and regional NPD projects through structured processes such as APQP / Pro04, ensuring projects are delivered on time, at cost, and at the required quality levels. Responsibilities include integrating new technologies, managing tooling and capital development, ensuring effective PPAP/qualification, and deploying worldclass manufacturing processes consistent with Industry 4.0 standards.
The role also owns NPD capacity planning, manufacturing feasibility assessments, makevsbuy recommendations, and earlystage manufacturing input for quotations. It ensures seamless handover from development through preproduction to SOP and supports production teams postlaunch where NPD or engineering issues arise.
Provide clear leadership to NPD and ME teams to ensure timely delivery of all project phases (APQP). Attend and lead stagegate reviews, ensure milestones (tooling, process readiness, supply chain readiness, quality deliverables) are completed on schedule. Maintain overall NPD resource and capacity plans.
Lead the creation and maintenance of complete project plans, covering tooling, automation, jigs/fixtures, materials, logistics, capital equipment, and manufacturing readiness. Own capital and tool forecasts and reporting. Ensure all tasks have clear accountability.
Coordinate crossfunctional engineering activities through the project lifecycle, enabling and coaching team members to meet critical deliverables. Ensure effective communication between local NPD/ME teams, regional and global engineering, SBU teams, and project management. Maintain alignment and accuracy within standard engineering systems.
Provide reliable input for RFQs including capacity, manufacturing feasibility, cost drivers, and production strategy. Translate customer requirements into capable manufacturing processes.
Implement and continuously improve global NPD/ME processes. Build strong process discipline within the team and drive standardisation, documentation, and adherence to global procedures.
Ensure engineering team capability aligns with business growth. Collaborate with regional/global engineering leadership to strengthen process consistency and engineering effectiveness across sites.
Maintain awareness of emerging manufacturing technologies and integrate automation, robotics, digitalisation, and advanced manufacturing techniques into operations to improve competitiveness.
