Job summary

TazaPay in Delhi (Saket) seeks a Senior Manager / SME - Payments Operations to lead cross-border payments operations with a focus on SWIFT and local rails. You will drive the end-to-end payments lifecycle, including initiation, processing, routing, investigations, tracking, reconciliation and settlement.

You will manage up to 10 direct reports across shifts, own SLAs, and champion automation and transformation in partnership with Product/Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years in banking/payments operations.
• Experience leading fintech or global banks.
• 24×7 operations management with 10+ team members.

Responsibilities

TazaPay is a trade management platform for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to conduct cross-border commerce safely.

It will bring together the best technologies and financial services that are only available to the large companies today and make them accessible to the SMBs.

We are trying to address the unmet needs of millions of exporters and importers who not have access to the essential tools for doing cross-border trade such as trade protections via escrow, currency hedging and finance

Lack of trust is one of the biggest inhibitors for B2B cross border business. Buyers and sellers tend to work only with known and trusted parties thereby limiting their business opportunities. Our platform will enable access to various services for doing cross-border trade safely - such as counterparty risk assessment, trade assurance and trade protections via escrow

Our goal is to enhance trust in the trade process so that SMBs feel confident about doing more business with overseas counterparties

Our platform is cloud-based and easy to use. Our mobile and web apps simplify and digitalize every step of the process. Using our cloud-based platform, the SMBs can do more business with trusted parties in a trusted and convenient manner.

Role Overview

This role will drive cross-border payments operations and transformation , with a focus on international payment flows, SWIFT, and local payment rails. The role involves overseeing and improving the end-to-end payments lifecycle, including payment initiation, processing, routing, investigations, tracking, reconciliation, and settlement .

What You'll Own:

• Cross-Border Payments SME


• End-to-end operational knowledge of cross-border payments


• SWIFT messaging, payment flows, correspondent banking, local payment rails


• MT / ISO 20022 messaging


• SWIFT GPI / UETR tracking, traceability, exception handling


• Payment investigations, recalls, amendments, returns, rejects, repair cases


• SME for Operations, Product, Engineering, Treasury, banking partners


• Manage up to 10 direct reports across shifts


• Own SLAs, productivity, quality, risk metrics


• Automation & Transformation


• Own end-to-end automation agenda


• Partner with Product/Engineering on scalable automation


• Drive straight-through processing (STP)


• SOPs, Controls & Operational Excellence


• Build SOPs for payment failures, recalls, amendments, investigations
