Qualifications

• BE in Electrical or Control with paint shop exposure.
• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing/paint shop environments.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, robots, and process control.

Responsibilities

• Design processes considering capacity, material flow and requirements.
• Facility planning & setup: equipment specs, layouts, procurement, installation & commissioning for booth/oven/conveyors.
• Design painting jigs, sealers & wax nozzles; identify bottlenecks and drive Kaizen.
• Drive Paint Shop IoT projects and digitization of processes.
• Engineering change management for manufacturing readiness; prepare PFMEAs and process sheets.

Job description

Purpose of the Role:

This position will be responsible for execution of projects in the area allocated to ensure timely completion of all projects. This position will be responsible for all the services for the area allocated pertaining to the Project Execution Paint Shop departmental deliverables.

Job Responsibility:

• Process design considering capacity requirement, material flow and process requirement.


• Facility planning & setup: Preparation of equipment specification (mechanical + electrical), layouts procurement of equipment involving techno-commercial evaluation, installation & commissioning for booth, oven, PT ED, conveyors etc.


• Designing of Painting jigs, sealer & wax nozzles.


• Capacity enhancement of existing setup by bottleneck identification & elimination by Kaizens & cycle time reduction.


• New technology introduction for supporting the desirable manufacturing process in Paint Shop.


• Upgrading equipment of existing paint Shop incorporating latest technology, energy efficient solutions.


• Knowledge of Paints, its application technology, issues and countermeasures.


• Painting & sealing robots, online/offline robot teaching for body, robot teaching issues and counter measures.


• Digital mock up for concurrent engineering in new models.


• Study engineering releases and conclude on DFM/DFA requirements


• Engineering change management for manufacturing readiness


• Preparation of process sheet / PFMEAs/ Digitization of process & design documents


• Drive Paint Shop Specific IOT Project


• Cost Reduction & energy saving focused idea implementation


• Kaizen and continuous Improvement

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: BE preferably from Electrical or control background, mechanical / automobile / Paint


• Relevant Experience:5-10 years
