Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a senior HR leader to drive compliance, workforce planning and strategic HR initiatives. The role oversees recruitment, policy development and employee welfare within the organization, ensuring alignment with the budget and business goals.

Ideal candidates will bring 15–20 years of HR experience, a Master’s degree (MSc/MBA), and a track record of developing and coaching teams while delivering continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• MSc/MBA required for HR leadership roles.
• Experience of 15–20 years in HR management or equivalent leadership positions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and timely submission of statutory returns.
• Manpower planning and workforce optimization within the approved manpower budget.
• Lead timely recruitment of staff and workmen as per budget and organizational needs.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve HR policies, procedures and initiatives.
• Oversee plant administration and employee welfare activities.
• Drive organisational development initiatives through innovative HR practices.
• Develop and enhance subordinate team members through training, coaching and skill-building.
• Prepare, monitor and manage the HR budget effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and the timely submission of statutory returns.

• Overall responsibility for the timely recruitment of staff and workmen as per the approved manpower budget and organizational requirements.
• Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.

• Driving organizational development initiatives through innovative HR practices and improvement programs.
• Development and enhancement of subordinate team members through training, coaching, and skill-building initiatives.
• Preparation, monitoring, and effective management of the HR budget.
• Performing any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management or higher authorities from time to time.
