- Lead system bring-up, commissioning and debugging of battery packs integrated with VCU, BMS, inverter, charger, thermal systems and vehicle controls.
- Lead electronic handshaking and communication debugging using CAN/CAN-FD, UDS and related automotive protocols.
- Analyze CAN logs, DBCs, diagnostic messages, DTCs, alarms, protection events and BMS data to identify root causes.
- Troubleshoot complex HV, electrical, electronic, BMS, communication, thermal and system-level issues and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Own field issue resolution and customer escalations, including containment, root-cause analysis, 8D/5-Why and closure.
- Lead battery/system builds, prototype vehicle integration, commissioning and issue tracking across development programs.
- Support BMS application/calibration including SOC/SOH behavior, charge/discharge limits, protection thresholds, thermal derating and fault handling.
- Define application-level requirements, diagnostic strategies, test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Support bench, HIL, pack, dyno and vehicle-level testing, including issue reproduction and validation of fixes.
- Establish robust debugging methodologies, troubleshooting guides, diagnostic workflows and application engineering standards.
- Build and lead a high-performing Battery Application Engineering team, developing strong capabilities in HV systems, diagnostics and integration.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, Controls or related engineering.
