Job summary

Huhtamaki India Limited in India seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to lead mechanical maintenance for production equipment, utilities and handling systems. You’ll develop preventive and predictive programs, drive reliability improvements, and manage spares while coordinating with OEMs and contractors.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing, with hands-on TPM, maintenance planning, and ERP/MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, utilities, preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, TPM, and maintenance planning.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and material handling systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Improve equipment reliability, availability, and maintenance performance via root cause analysis.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and critical equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure optimum spare parts management and maintenance cost control.
• Support execution of engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, energy saving, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors for maintenance and project activities.
• Guide, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.
• Plan manpower, maintenance schedules, and resource utilization.
• Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, GMP, and Quality standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, GEMBA walks, and incident investigations.
• Support audits, management reviews, and change management activities.
• Drive TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs such as breakdown hours, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and maintenance cost.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions to improve plant performance.

Key Responsibilities
